The Foundation was established in 2006 with an ultimate goal of establishing an endowment that will provide ongoing financial support to the district. As it works toward this goal, it has also provided project funding grants to enhance educational opportunities for students.
-
Public school systems are continually asked to “do more with less.” While the cost of education escalates every year, federal and state funding continues to decrease and taxpayers resist more than the minimum increases in subsidies. Teachers routinely spend their own money to finance classroom projects. The Foundation seeks to bridge the gap to provide educational opportunities that would not otherwise exist.
-
With support from the individuals, businesses and funding organizations, we provide resources for teachers to implement innovative programs and projects that positively impact student achievement. Working closely with school district personnel, we identify and fund programs that will make a positive impact on our students and the teachers who inspire them and help them excel.
